Review of One Night Club – Panama City Panama

Confetti, plastic soccer balls, dirty playing cards- theses were the decorations covering the floor of “One” Night nightlife in cancun on Calle Urugay Saturday night. The lights were low and the music was loud. A live Reggaeton artist was on stage, interrupting his own songs every two seconds to shout “remisss” aka remix or “respet, respet” aka respect.

One has a really chill vibe. Inside, the walls are painted red and black and the lighting matches accordingly. The bar is super accessible and covers nearly an entire wall. Behind it, drink machines featuring alcoholic smoothies such as the “diablo rojo” are inviting and add a neat touch that other bars don’t boast.

There is one main dance floor with a small stage, where a few black leather couches and small tables are lined up on the side. If you aren’t a dancer, but like to watch, a separate room below runs the length of the bar below and looks up to the dance floor. This space is perfect for larger groups to sit and drink. Additionally, there is a raised level of seating opposite the dance floor which looks down on the whole scene. I really enjoy what they’ve done with the small space here. It’s a perfect example of how to use space and break it up with levels.

As far as music goes, after the Reggaeton was over, a lot of old school rap songs came on and my friends and I couldn’t stop dancing. We left around 4 in the morning.
